They work with small-scale farmers in Haiti to grow the best Arabica coffee beans, and create long-term sustainable jobs for Haitians. We interviewed the founder to learn more about how their brand came to be, and what makes their products so special.
Meet Beverly Malbranche, Caribbrew Founder and CEO!
What inspired you to launch your brand?
Growing up in Haiti, I felt compelled to give back to the Haitian economy after moving to the U.S. as an international student. Knowing that Haitian coffee used to be well renowned until the 1960s, I decided to embark on a journey to revive Haiti’s coffee industry. I had the idea to sell it one summer at local pop-ups. After receiving great interest from friends and potential customers, I saw an opportunity to share the flavors of Haiti with the world while making a difference. In 2018, I officially launched Caribbrew.
Why do you think it’s important to practice self-care, even from home, and what are some ways that you do it?
It’s very important to make time for you. Especially as an entrepreneur. The journey can be long, exhausting, and even sometimes lonely. I enjoy spending time by myself, especially going for a walk on a nice day. I also spend time with my family, and I specifically tell them to not bring any business-related topics (I have to say that can be a challenge). Lastly, I have also learned to say No at times and to not overcommit.
What’s one thing you do every morning that’s really made a difference in your self-care routine?
I love spending an early morning with a nice cup of coffee and doing my devotion/meditation. It’s really a game changer. I can feel the difference during the day compared to rolling out of bed and checking my phone right away lol.
Why is your product different from anything else on the market for wellness goods?
Our products are different from anything else on the market as we use fresh, organic ingredients that are directly sourced from the farms. Also, unlike many brands that use plastic beads, we use actual coffee ground for the gritty texture of our Coconut Rum Coffee scrub. This is one of the many reasons we gain so much love from this product, from pregnant moms to world-renowned actress, Gabrielle Union. Besides exfoliating, it’s also very moisturizing as it has a coconut oil base compared to most water based scrubs. You will feel good when you use our products, as they are great and make a difference.

Our product can definitely help on your wellness journey. Their delightful scents are pure indulgence and guarantee a pure moment of joy. They also work!
